Jeevanshilpi by V. S. Khandekar

Vishnu Sakharam Khandekar (1898-1976) was an eminent man of letters in Marathi. A prolific writer who was recipient of the Dnyanpeeth award, he tackled all literary forms effectively. He did not limit himself to literature and explored good qualities of all who he came in contact with. Jeevanshilpi: V.S. Khandekar contains life sketches of seventeen personalalities who with their contribution in the field they took to have made a great name. Included here are teachers, doctors, artists, social workers, and unsung heroes who have played an important role in cultural life of Maharashtra. The title is significant in that introduces the reader to little known facts of these personalities.
